This is an edition of the archaic Tocharian B manuscript PK AS 12 from the Pelliot Koutchéen collection of Paris, which contains fragments of a theatre play about the life of the Buddha from ca. 500 CE. While the Buddha's life is a well developed genre of Buddhist literature, no dramatised text is attested anywhere else.
